The original Digital Hybrex Handset was actually a mildly modified Analogue handset from the B series Hybrex.

It featured Handsfree communication, digital volume controls for numerous individual fields. Twenty programmable DSS keys, Fourteen dedicated function keys. The DK1-21 also supported Headsets with a direct headset jack.

Originally only available in Ivory (bone white) Hybrex later offered them in charcoal (not quite black)

This series is no longer available new, but can occasionally show up secondhand from time to time.

Hybrex DK1-31

The Hybrex DK1-31 variant sacrificed 3 rows of DSS keys for a total of Eight programmable DSS keys. it also dropped headset functionality and handsfree in favour of cost reduction.

However it was possible to still receive handsfree intercom

The low number of DSS Keys made them uncommon

Hybrex DK1-33

More common than the Hybrex DK1-31 as it made the further cost cutting step of removing the LCD screen as well.

No longer available new, but they do rarely show up secondhand

were available in ivory and charcoal (bone white and less than black)

Hybrex DK1-DSS

The matching DSS console to the DK1 series handsets, it offered 60 Programmable DSS keys and when coupled to the station it was paired with on the hardware could be made to use no additional wiring.

these were very rare though as the DK1 series was intended for the G1 hybrex which had a maximum of 24 phones and 10 lines.

Hybrex DK1-21h

Identical to a regular dk1-21 in every way except that it acted as an SLT adaptor allowing for cordless phones to be connected through it...through the wiring at the phone socket.

T his was achieved at the expense of running the second digital extension from that physical port. this caused a lot of problems because the phone was virtually identical to any other digital phone and people would frequently move them.

moving a 21h generally meant  a fax stopped working and at least one other digital phone in the building stopped working.

as such we now remove the daughter board that handles the conversion from dk1-21 to dk1-21h. they quickly became irrelevant  and even today will only work on a digital system from over 10 years ago.

All these older Hybrex phones can be used on the NBN when connected to a later model HYBREX phone system
