Most corded headsets utilise a quick disconnect system. this is advertised as a feature to allow you to quickly unplug from the desk and walk away, in reality it's to allow headsets to connect to a wide range of phones.

the supra headsets above have several cords that attach to varying brands of phone system that are available seperately to the headset itself. you will need one of these cords, which cord is applicable to you depends on your hardware. when buying a corded headset make sure you confirm you have the correct cord to make the headset function

to clarify further various phone system manufacturers choose to wire their headset jacks to different standards. there are only a few combinations achievable with 4 wires in 2 pairs but there are also some manufacturers that choose to not use RJ11 connections at all opting for their own route. this is why the various connection leads exist
